The artimelt Experience-Lab
The Experience Lab plays a key role in the artimelt partner process. The Nordson plant is ideal for the production of high-quality and practical samples. In addition, the pilot plant is suitable for the production of small batches.
These are the possibilities
The artimelt trial platform gives you a valuable technology and time advantage over your competitors and reduces your risks in the upscaling phase.
- Coating of conventional and UV-curing hotmelt adhesives
- Crosslinking capabilities: two medium-pressure mercury vapor lamps for UV crosslinking
- Corona pretreatment to improve anchorage on difficult carrier materials, e.g. polyolefins
- Application by curtain coating for a streak-free coating, ideal for e.g. clear-on-clear labels from 5 g/m² or also on heat-sensitive carrier materials
- Application by means of a wide slot nozzle (with or without roller bar)
- Sample orders and small batch production to relieve the load on your production line
- High flexibility: fast change of carrier materials and adhesives; exceptionally versatile tests possible
- Material examples: Web-shaped materials such as foils paper, textiles. Also heat-sensitive carrier materials such as foams

- Know-how transfer and consulting for artimelt hotmelt adhesives
- Creation of a test plan (application weights, adhesives,carrier materials, direct/indirect coating, viscosity, temperature, speed, UV crosslinking dose, etc.)
- Coating of customer's own carrier materials as well as standard carrier materials possible
- Samples are provided
- Evaluations: PSTC data, adhesion tests at various temperatures, customer specific field tests.
